January 17-18, 2013 - Zurich, Switzerland

The 4th ESVV Veterinary Herpesvirus Symposium will be hosted at the University of Zurich, Irchel-Campus. The event is co-organized by the European Society of Veterinary Virology (ESVV) and the Swiss Society for Microbiology (SGM-SSM).

Following the tradition of these workshops, the symposium will address all aspects on herpesviruses of veterinary concern, covering all research topics, namely Basic and Applied Virology including Virus-Cell Interactions, Molecular Virology and Replication, Virus-Host Interactions, Immunology, Epidemiology, Laboratory Diagnostics, Vaccinology, Antiviral Chemotherapy as well as Gene Therapy. Moreover, two round table sessions will be organised, one on Malignant Catarrhal Fever and one on Herpesviruses of Wild- and Zoo animals. Both oral and poster communications will be welcome.

The Symposium will be structured into keynote addresses, oral presentations, poster session and round table discussions. The organizing committee invites you to submit an abstract of your work for oral and/or poster presentation.

Authors of selected oral presentations will be invited for paper submission to be published in Veterinary Microbiology.

The Symposium will take place at the University of Zurich, Irchel-Campus, located at a short distance from the city center. An entertaining Conference dinner will be organised. Don't forget to sign up for the optional post-conference skiing excursion. We are convinced that this 4th ESVV Veterinary Herpesvirus Symposium 2013 will be both a scientifically stimulating and socially enjoyable experience.
